I am not sure about the word perfect, but Earth may very well be unique through a wide section of the Universe. The more I study the complexity of biology, ecosystems, and the unique aspects of Earth, the more I come to the conclusion that Rare Earth is a thing and it is an answer to the Fermi Paradox.

That is one of the things that makes it such a travesty what we are doing to this planet. Are we killing the one unique chance at sentient life (at least in our epoch)?
