Mike Malloy: Hey Mitt, emergency rooms are NOT for primary health care!

Mike Malloy finishes reading and commenting on Adele Stan's criticism of Romney's ER comments brings up the case of Anna Brown, the homeless woman who was arrested at a hospital despite blood clots and [link: http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/crime-and-courts/woman-unhappy-with-care-at-st-mary-s-hospital-is/article_ed640f3d-64a0-516c-88ff-fb770b5e9677.html|later died in jail], as a reason why emergency rooms can NOT be used as primary health care providers. Mike read from the St. Louis Post Dispatch article "Woman unhappy with care at St. Mary's hospital is arrested for trespassing, dies in jail" and MSNBC.com's "[link: http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/03/29/10926817-hospital-mom-booted-from-er-who-died-in-jail-was-treated-appropriately|Hospital: Mom booted from ER who died in jail was treated appropriately]".

toned down a bit of course, but still .. Malloy powerfully juxtaposes the Rmoney/Ryan health care "policy" i.e.
simply referring poor people to the ER, with an equally powerful story of one woman who tried to do that,
and ended up dead on the floor of a jail cell for "causing trouble".

Very sad. She was put into a category and then everyone treated her as that stereotype rather than as a person.
