I can't help thinking how different things would be in this country now if only he had been removed when he was impeached last January! 
This was beyond the pale. I still can't get my mind around what happened today and why more heads aren't rolling. It was just sickening and everyone involved, from the participants up to the presidency, needs to pay dearly for the role they played in trying to overthrow our democracy.
I won't hold my breath, but I really hope we see some justice here in the next few days.

And here we thought what he's done already was as horrific and disturbing as it could possibly get! But we continually misunderestimate him! He has no knowledge of how government works, let alone American history. He thinks the job of president - which he is not doing - means that he can do anything, say anything he pleases! He needs to suffer severe consequences, should have long before now, but today - let alone because of the global pandemic he ignored - he's directly responsible for deaths! 
And wishing you a calm and pleasant New Year, too, my friend! It really has to get better! 
It should not be much longer before this miserable person is a faint memory. Once he is no longer in our constant field of vision, we will easily forget about him and be able to focus on moving forward with Biden and Harris. I think they will do good things for this country, as long as the Trump's cult will stay out of our way and behave themselves.
As other people have said in other threads, it really doesn't feel like the New Year will begin until Biden/Harris is inaugurated, but after that, I think we will be able to finally breathe a sigh of relief at having the past four miserable years behind us.

And the thing is, I don't get it! What has this offensive moran got going for him that I can't see - that motivates people to endanger their lives and commit criminal acts based on whatever idiocy he says?? 
I've thought of this often since this pandemic started and especially today - if only he'd been removed when he was impeached a year ago, how much better off this country would be today... 
Here's to a better year ahead, my friend! It pretty much has to be now that we've gained an actual leader and sidelined Trump! *fingers crossed*
