Either way, I am disappointed in her participation. When the Bush brothers, Ned & Jeb(?) were profiteering off of education with their idiotic software, it became quite clear what the new "cash cow" targeted by the wealthy would be...sickening.

she was duped, like the actors in that anti-Islam film.

But I somehow doubt it.

Except for the facts that the library is too small and the classes too large, I was far more favorably impressed than I expected to be. We are supposed to be a gang area.
But the kids were respectful to me and to the teachers. With an exception of a substitute teacher, the teachers were all extremely well prepared as were the students.

The teachers in our local school now do a much better job than my teachers did years ago when I was in high school. The teachers in the local school were so clearly dedicated to their students.

I can't tell you how impressed I was.

All this propaganda against our schools is just hogwash.

We need to go into some of the Wall Street firms and banks that needed bailouts a few years ago and replace them with charter investment companies and banks.

Who failed in this country?

It wasn't our schools.

in the process of cannibalizing the resources of society in order to prop up mega banks, military establishments and the economy of inequality this is austerity economics.
