The Coup is alive until Trump cannot stir it up, and at least several weeks after that. I'm not sure his arrest and confinement pending trial would slow it down. I suspect that was planned for.

It depends much on how far the RW media can spin it and how Putin and the Neo-Con establishment have built and financed it, IMO.

One significant feature is the corrosive resistance by 147 members of Congress and Senate along with numerous GOP governors, state AGs and legislators. So long as they continue to assert Trump's case and cause and refuse to acknowledge a legitimate change of governance, and likewise federal authority, there will be fuel enough to keep the flames of insurrection burning.
