From one of my favorite episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation (The Drumhead)

Lieutenant Worf : [referring to Admiral Satie] I believed her. I, I helped her. I did not see what she was.

Captain Jean-Luc Picard : Mister Worf, villains who twirl their moustaches are easy to spot. Those who clothe themselves In good deeds are well camouflaged.

Lieutenant Worf : I think... after yesterday, people will not be so ready to trust her.

Captain Jean-Luc Picard : Maybe. But she, or someone like her, will always be with us, waiting for the right climate In which to flourish, spreading fear In the name of righteousness. Vigilance, Mister Worf - that Is the price we have to continually pay.

I consider ST-TNG to be the greatest ensemble TV show of all time.

And Star Trek-Picard is a very adequate and appropriate sequel to TNG.

Some of my earliest childhood memories from the late 1960s are of watching Kirk and Spock. One memory is of watching an ep and realizing it was a rerun. Ironically, I cannot access the memory of seeing it for the first time!

when it stumbled it stumbled, which was rare, the ensemble carried the day because they were all fine actors who worked extremely well together.

This was one of its best episodes -- and also one of Jean Simmons’ best performances.

This was indeed a great episode but my favorite by far was "The Inner Light". Guess I've watched that 15 or more times and still get misty eyed at the end. Superb show, great writing, great acting. For the length of time it aired it had surprisingly few "bad" or problematic episodes. Yeah, a few real clinkers but.... Also, it introduced the greatest bad guys in the Star Trek canon the Borg.
