...if you want to hold that against me, that's your prerogative, but all involved have moved on. If this is how he contniues to atone for that abomination, I'll accept it.

Schmidt's last words on this video deserve to be the close of the Senate trial against Trump.

"In 2001, he was the spokesman of the National Republican Congressional Committee,[25] becoming the Communications Director by 2002.

Schmidt joined the Bush administration as a Deputy Assistant to the President and Counselor to Vice President Dick Cheney. In 2004, he was a member of the senior strategic planning group, led by White House adviser Karl Rove, that ran President George W. Bush's re-election campaign; Schmidt oversaw the reelection "war room".[20] In 2005 and 2006, he was the White House strategist responsible for the U.S. Supreme Court nominations of Samuel Alito[26] and Chief Justice John Roberts.[20]"

That and his impressive command of the English language of course. The boy has mad skills. I'm glad he's a Democrat. He's bought in fully unlike many others who leave the GOP and become "Independents". I think most Independents are just embarrassed Republicans.

There was no direct train service from Springfield to D.C. He was going to switch trains in Baltimore. There about 1000 Southern were waiting to assassinate him. Each though he was the only one.

So they changed the schedule. He took a night train and once arriving at the station, his sleeping car was separated and moved (by a horse?) to the other platform with the train to D.C.

So many parallels that it is disheartening.

and I would have really liked to hear him refute or at least address the issue of the inauguration being a "super spreader" event. It most likely will NOT be, because Democrats have the sense to wear masks, but I would have appreciated that being put aside.
