This is SO well done. The entire inauguration was. As with the Dem Convention, I'm thinking maybe they should all be done this way.

1. it was stunning!!! Someone was saying the fireworks were CGI....nope.. I pulled up DC Earthcam

...and watched them from that angle. They could be seen from everywhere!

totally blissed out at the end of the fireworks show.

was for all of us, not just people who got an invitation to a ball.

12. So, I have watched Perry's performance enough times now. . .

. . . To start picking out the words. There is a line suggesting that the closed doors one encounters in life have the purpose of leading a person to a particular path.

That made me think about this being Biden's third run at the Presidency. Maybe, just maybe, there was a reason why the Universe deferred his ambition until this moment in history.

It's also worth considering people like Stacey Abrams who didn't get what they wanted when they first went after it. People who endure loss, obstacles, disappointment and set backs and continue to persevere in pursuit of noble goals are the backbone of our democracy.

I am humbled by their strength and proud to call them my countrymen.
