New Rule: America's Mass Delusion
It's fun to laugh at QAnon, but if you accord religious faith the kind of exalted respect we do here in America, youve already lost the argument that mass delusion is bad.
Here's a "bootleg" version of the show which includes the panel discussion with journalist/author Charlotte Alter and podcast host Matt Welch (15:12), and Bill's weekly "funny bit," "I Don't Know It for a Fact..." (31:28) It won't last long, as usual:

(51,704 posts)And again Maher whined about his solar project at his house, claiming he has "waited 1,083 days for solar" approval. He doesn't explain what his project entails. Everyone I know with solar, including me, were able to get solar installed within days, so his weird "solar shack" that he mentions may have something to do with his troubles (he gives no further details). He loves bashing regulations and Californias government. It's almost always an unfair cheapshot, excempt in the one instance he cited tonight of San Francisco's decision to rename its schools, even the one named after Lincoln.

(6,657 posts)And it's pathetic.
By the way (and not unrelated) I've wanted to see removal of tax exemption for religious groups all my life. Go ahead and tax the grifters.

(206,016 posts)And I sure agree about the tax exemptions - not to mention that these gatherings that are exempted from the prohibitions of "social gatherings" have become superspreader events, affect the elderly disproportionately.
