to respect the constitution and law and that the behavior and content of the house managers was something that any so-called conservative would be swayed by.

For me its just the term "conservative" having been poisoned by many of those wielding it like a bludgeon that has tainted it.

There is nothing wrong with having truly conservative values. Many of the values of the democrats are very conservative.
To save and protect, respect law, respect constitution, protect the environment.

These republicans have rejected most of the values that could be called conservative.

doing what is right. Let me explain.

* If I believed in "conserving" the original tenets of the constitution I would be a person who could not vote and counted as 3/5 this of a person.

* If non-property owning people believed in conserving the laws as they were, they would not be able to vote.

You see where I am going. Those for whom benefits and laws are written have reason to want to conserve the status quo. Those who have been fighting for equality have no reason for conservatism. But we do want to KEEP the go WE HAVE CREATED TOGETHER AS A SOCIETY who wants progress, progressive values.

BTW, Thanks for watching. I really like opening up the conversation as that is how we make PROGRESS.

Gracias.

conserve what must be conserved because it still works; my distinction is this -- as long as both serve the goals of Nature First.

as a "true conservative" which he described as a person who want to conserve what is important or precious to preserve that which is important. He started with conservation in the agricultural sense, the preservation sense, and that of upholding our values. It is hard to explain but he did shock a few of my relatives and friends back in my tiny country town.

This was back in the 1970s
