False color images? exboyfil Mar 2021 #3
Yeah, I was thinking that, too. Looks a heck of a lot like shallow water on sand. Some of it. PatrickforB Mar 2021 #4

You are right about what it looks like, but the only surface water on Mars should be highly brined and temporary. The ice could be CO2 dry ice but I thought that was only at the polls.

Wow, it's another planet. It's so bleak, but even so, as I said, it's another planet! Wow! I'm 71 years old and I'm still hoping I'll live long enough to see humans walking around up there. We can do it. All we have to do is just decide to do it, and then do it. We already know how. Andy Weir knows how. Now let's just go ahead and do it.

I love my Earth. Mars, like the Moon, is a rocky, dusty, airless world too alien, too boring, to interest me out side of its scientific curiosities. Sorry to be so negative, but we got the best place in all the Galaxy under our feet.
