Covid Vaccination Showing Great Success; Variants A Concern For Unvaccinated - Rachel Maddow - MSNBC

To 16 for Pfizer and 18 for Moderna - so there will be no excuses as long as people can get appointments! And Rachel certainly made the case, positive cases are way down for those who are vaccinated and don't look good for those who aren't. And I have an appointment on Sunday to get my Moderna shot #2! Things are finally happening fast!

to send this to. But, I believe they won't listen to Rachel Maddow.

BTW they are NURSES.

4. Oh, boy! Maybe in the meantime you could find the charts she used?

But I know exactly what you mean. I know an older gentleman who I can't help worrying about. You know how it is, when I got my first vaccine shot I told everyone I ran across, encouraging them to get theirs too. And this guy is in his mid 80s so he could have qualified from the beginning. So I asked him when he was getting his, he lives in a rural area so I was prepared to call up the links we've shared here on my phone. But his answer was that he didn't plan to get it since his daughter is a nurse who works at the hospital and she's not getting vaccinated and he gets his medical advice from her! I keep wondering how he's doing...

6. I can't believe it isn't required or that hospital workers aren't anxious to get it ASAP

My friend works in the ER with psychiatric patients and she was the first person I knew who got hers even though she had to drive downstate to a major hospital to get it (Pfizer). And my other friend who teaches drove clear across the state to get vaccinated since they weren't get offering it here. But now they are and there are two large clinics - one town and one county - offering it nearby, so there is no excuse anymore. I'm finally getting my shot #2 at CVS on Sunday and I'm going to be encouraging everyone I run across to go.

I know I saw that somewhere just recently and was appalled, think it may have been a link to OAN that someone posted here and it made me feel kinda ill. These nurses have to know and understand a lot about meds and how they work (my cousin is an RN and had to repeat a tough course in nursing school) so how can they believe these crazy lies??

9. One of my coworkers saw a webinar on vaccine hesitancy that I watched, too

she was NOT CONVINCED by the 7 physicians on the panel. It was about how to deal with patients who are vaccine hesitant. BTW the panel was 3 Black woman, 1 Muslim woman, 1 Latino man and two white men ALL DOCTORS. She feels they didn't give a good enough answer when she asked about "the two thousand people who died from the vaccine". Because she knows more than they do.

She is an amazing nurse. She is really good with our patients and she works with a diverse population.

I don't get it. I lost a lot of respect for her.

The other nurse is a bully and I'm not surprised she's a trumpy.

12. I don't get "vaccine hesitancy" at all, especially after half a million deaths

What does it take?? My "argument" is that we all have been vaccinated against serious illnesses that used to kill so many - like polio, smallpox, diphtheria - and now they're vaccinating against measles, mumps, rubella before kids are allowed in schools. My friend returned to college and I took her to get the MMR vaccine before she was allowed to attend classes. And I read here that Rutgers (where my cousin went in NJ) is requiring the covid vaccine before students are allowed there and I'm guessing that they're only the first.

11. Israel has been easing restrictions after vaccinating most of the people there.

Israel has been easing restrictions after vaccinating most of the people there. They are returning to normal life.

It goes without saying that vaccination is the solution to covid.

We should educate our kids about what all this is. I've been looking for kids' books about Covid for my kids.
