Woo-hoo! Progress! Thanks House Dems!! Previously, all I was getting was something vague about how they weren't able to find the status of my payment.

BTW, to anyone reading this, if you get an error message or a timeout, try a different browser. Tonight when I used Brave on a Mac, I got "You don't have permission to access (long URL, not the one I entered) on this server." When I switched to Safari (which has less cross-site tracker blocking, etc.), I got a meaningful response.

When the first payment came via snail mail, I figured it was because they wanted us to have to look at Traitor Tot’s sadistic scrawl of a signature. But the subsequent payments have been on paper as well.

We’ve filed taxes electronically for years. So I don’t get it. Oh, well — it’s money. I’ll take it!
