very informed, did not answer the question when he asked something to the effect of "what are the left's issues that are not being raised."

Dealing with the right's talking points is so ingrained in her, that her answer was along those lines. It wasn't until the guy answered the question and the conversation came back around to her that she addressed the issue she was asked about.

were not aware the Covid numbers are going up. Absolutely disgusting no question about the virus was asked.

Since many of them finally attacked what Trump said and did in his last couple of years, they seem to be following the same pattern with Biden. The questions at that press conference were mostly an embarrassment for the press. One would think that reporters could think of new questions to ask after their original questions about the kids at the border had already been asked by a dozen other reporters, but no. They just kept hammering the Republican talking points. A class of high school journalism students would most likely have asked better and more relevant questions.

WaPo currently has a news article that reads more like an opinion piece claiming that because Biden chose some experienced people from the Obama administration, he and they are simply going back a few years to fix all of Obama’s defeats! And that qualifies as reporting news!

I find the mainstream media mostly aggravating these days. I was hoping for a shift after Trump, but it hasn’t happened so far.

reporters from fly-over country newspapers and broadcast outlets. (Assuming such institutions still exist.) See if the questions from "real America" bring any more light than heat.

I realize that the White House press corps credentialing is done by the White House Correspondents Association and all that is jealously guarded by the beltway in-crowd, but still. It would be a nice contrast for a change.

And they feel they haven't done their job unless they make him look bad.
Even though numbers are increasing in many areas with new variants, and idiot R governors are opening up 100%, Joe gets a good majority of support for his COVID response. So......no need to ask if it doesn't hurt him in any way.

Its not getting good information on topics that Americans want to hear about that is their primary role for their individual infotainment companies they represent. Its to be the reporter that gets the President to be taken aback by your question. To be embarrassed. To be humiliated if possible on national TV. So they can replay it 20 times that evening and next day, and highlight that faux pas as the highlight of the press conference.
