its own "age of consent", and many of them are lower than 18.

And even most states where the age of consent is 18 have "Romeo and Juliet" laws (and should have them IMO).... and I can feel confident that in 1973 Ringo was not singing for 30-year--olds.

I don't even want to go into the provision many states have that, with parental consent, people of ANY age can get married.
