with things like Pride Day and removing some of the more offensive stereotypes that seemed perfectly fine in 1950.

Now if they'd only start paying their employees enough to live decently.

for the Disney comics and he dashed my somewhat infantile expectations that working at Disney as a cartoonist was akin to being in La La land (a wonderful experience)...he laughed ironically and said No, it wasn't and the pay wasn't all that great either, among other things. Ever since then, I've always had that negative experience to hone and temper my Disney experiences (I'm a big collector of Disney stuff, for over 40 years)...

It's sad...some of the greatest artists that ever lived (IMHO, e.g., Carl Barks, etc.), and who expressed themselves so well in short stories embedded in comic books got peanuts in pay, and yet some of these gems go for as much as $20,000 (or more perhaps) for mint condition, first edition issues.

At least I got to meet some of these guys at a comic book convention and had them draw something for me (they were for hire)...perhaps today the markets for artists is better, I don't know.

...but even in that context, it is better to update Splash Mountain with a “Princess and the Frog” theme, as that is a movie, with Disney’s only AA princess, that kids have actually seen.

Note:
While Song of the South hasn’t been in theatres since the 80’s, and was never released on home video in the US, it can be purchased on DVD in Europe and Asia.

Perhaps I'm too old for all the distracting scrolling jerky zoom-in zoom-out visuals and "FM Morning Drive DJay" style of presentation.
