Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR) says the wave of GOP-backed voter suppression bills passed by state legislatures shows how urgent the need is to pass the Senates voting rights bill. He tells Lawrence ODonnell despite a supermajority of Americans who want Congress to protect voting rights, Republican leadership has barred its members from trying to ensure that every American can vote. (20,249 posts)5. I had to call Amazon c/s yesterday and got this fellow in South Africa!
He had a delightful accent. We commiserated about the condition we find ourselves in presently. He gave me uplifting words of encouragement. I gave him a blessing. A merchant short changed a return I recently did and this agent made good on it. It was a meant to be moment speaking with him!
