a party in her home in the mid sixties as a guest of a friend from Scottsdale. I was very young and not yet removed from small town Midwestern life, so was amazed that she had a piece hanging on her living room wall that had cost $5,000 - about what the house I grew up in had cost (WW II era).

She also had a few Gold Records (albums) on her walls - that really blew me away.

My parents had the record she released in 1960 or so with this little number on it. I taught it to all the Southern Baptist kids in the neighborhood. You can imagine the result, I was not meant to live in Dixie.
