They see what is going on. I have to be confident that not all of them are crazy sbd rabid in their beliefs.

Trump won't be on the ballot. Few Republican voters will be there to simply vote against Trump, and they were significant in 2020. While voting against Trump and for Biden, they voted Republican down-ballot. Without them we'd have 4 or 5 more Dems in the House right now.

I want to believe J. Alter, but he's historically optimistic. We're in a real dog fight.

Oh, yeah. Almost forgot. Republicans won't vote by mail. And they won't stand in lines.

They are poorly written, illegal and unconstitutional and will not stand in the courts, at least the most egregious parts. It would be great if HR1 passes...but this point we can’t count on it.

Just as post election 2020 proved the courts even with frump appointed judges follow the constitution very closely and are not willing to support laws that clearly deny Americans the right to vote or overturn clear wins. If they try, it will go to SCOTUS. They were not even willing to hear some of the cases where frump and cronies wanted the election results overturned

I love Jonathan Alter...pretty much nails it

I am NOT sticking my head in the sand..so please don’t go there. The above are facts and if HR1 doesn’t pass, this may be the best we can hope for..for now.

By the time these challenges get to SCOTUS, Trump could be installed as president in 2024.

I don’t know how they’ll do it, but the Dems must attack everywhere, take the state legislatures and governor’s chairs as well as the U.S. Senate and House. If we lose ground in the states, we’re just as screwed as if we lose ground in D.C.

And I know I’m not some voice in the wilderness with this. The Dems will be pulling out all stops to, figuratively, attack and slaughter the Party of Goddamned Traitors everywhere.
