11. Rush Limbaugh and Right Wing Talk Radio

A large amount of the problem came from and still comes from Rush Limbaugh and right wing talk radio. My understanding is that Rush Limbaugh used to tell his listeners not to listen, or believe anyone except him. He supposedly would tell his listeners he would tell them everything they needed to know. So, it is not that Conservatives do not attempt to fact check statement, or that Conservative do not want to fact check statements; it is that Conservatives have been lied to and told they can only trust Conservative news sites. Conservatives are constantly told that CNN, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and all non-Conservative news sites lie and refuse to report certain stories, mainly those that would supposedly make Democrats look bad.
