NY Voters To Choose Prosecutor Who May Decide Trump's Fate - The Beat - MSNBC

Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance is circling the Trump Organization in a criminal probe sifting through Trump tax documents and convening a grand jury. DOJ veteran and former Mueller prosecutor, Andrew Weissmann tells “The Beat” Vance likely found an “insider” in the case. MSNBC’s Chief Legal Correspondent Ari Melber reports on the case and how Vance will tackle one of the most consequential calls in the history of the American presidency: whether to indict an ex-President for the first time ever. Aired on 06/10/2021.

New: Lawyer Who Could Be NY D.A. Says Office Has Power To Indict An Ex-POTUS - The Beat - MSNBC

One of the leading candidates to become Manhattan's next D.A., Tali Weinstein, says the next D.A. will face big and “unprecedented legal calls” in office, and that the office does have the legal authority to indict an ex-President, in an interview with MSNBC's Ari Melber in the run up to the June 22 race. Aired on 06/10/2021.

This was a criminal - now that I'm familiar with Mary Trump's book, I realize that he always was - who used the American presidency to both enrich himself and enact revenge on his enemies. And to prevent this from ever happening again, he needs to be prosecuted, convicted and face the consequences. And he's still at it! He needs to be stopped.

I’d love to see him go to prison but that’s not necessary. We need to know the truth.

We know that he's a liar and a cheat who abused the office of presidency in ways that it never had been before - and he's still at it, duping his benighted "followers" (many of whom we've already learned are a danger to this country). He needs to be stopped and his crimes need to be exposed so it never happens again.

for-the-best candidate. I hear her leaving the door wide wide open for bitter disappointment.

This based on the fact that this is the one and only time I've ever heard of her.
