(12,157 posts)One of the key points Klein made was that you don't have to go full vegan to make an impact. If as a society we reduced meat consumption by 50 percent or even 30 percent, it would make a huge difference.

A friend of mine is a vegan, and she has so much energy, she is so fit. She has no fat at all, you cannot pinch her because there is not fat to grab.
The trick to becoming vegan is to learn how to cook vegan so that you don't get tired of eating the same things over and over. That is why people (including me) stop being vegan, its not easy to cook creative vegan food. We have bought some vegan cook books and are slowly learning to do it, but it takes time.

People promoting a vegetarian diet need to take into account people who would get sick if they only ate veggies. I am on the keto diet and it works for me and keeps my weight and carbs in check.
