SCOTUS Rules Those In Prison Cannot Argue For Reduced Sentences (MSNBC)

NBC's Pete Williams reports on the Supreme Court's unanimous decision that people already in prison cannot argue for reduced sentences with the bipartisan First Step Act.

if you're a for-profit prison and the income projections are pulled down by arbitrary sentence reductions. Thou shalt not legislate against the bottom line. This is the law of the land.

yet unanimous...so...no pity. Right? No compassion for those spending 10 years in some hell hole for one GD joint or those racially, culturally targeted? 1-month house arrest for one race who has no priors for 1 joint. Lengthy sentence for other races, African-American specifically, under the same criteria. Happens every GD day! In Amerikkka.
