Start 18:10It is part of the toxic public discourse that any perverted anti-BLM and antifa narratives show up on corporate social media like YouTube and Facebook. You can read evidence of those narratives online every time a federal figure under a Democratic administration addresses the public.
1. Anti-BLM and antifa divide-and-conquer narratives are hype funded by anti-democratic oligarchs who continue to undermine this very Department of Justice and any further peaceful transfers of power at both state and federal levels. So this toxic public discourse is on them.
2. Funders of domestic terrorism are corporate oligarchs who try to establish a new 'reality by consensus' to undermine the facts of right wing violence by believers of corporate hype; additionally, these corporate oligarchs promote the overthrow this government as patriotism. Corporate patriotism.
3. Corporations and oligarchs pay dark money to Republicans to block spending on the people and take over Congress. Dark money corporate oligarchs pay militias, legal foundations, and own media production to use Americans and their leaders as tools to reach their goal of
-- setting aside consent of the governed, and
-- establishing commerce and currency as the means of their nation's order, thathey intend to have;
-- finalizing a no-regulation corporate campus that uses the three branches as PR before the people, who they intend to work for them on that campus on their salary terms. With absolutely no social contract.
4. This is their war. The best way for this administration to save this nation is to no longer be reactive as "law enforcement," but to take our fight TO that stealth fascist insurgency that tries to divide and conquer a democratic republic.

OP
Is it necessary to include 18 minutes of dead air before Garland begins to speak?

I've always wondered that myself! The makers of videos need to answer that. I just try to

Interesting. I'm sure only the original YouTube poster can do that. As a viewer, I don't intend to.

If it's a live broadcast, the cameras start filming well before the speaker shows up

Perhaps we could include a note for DU members that the speech begins at 18:00.

save viewers' valuable time. It was the only one out at the time of my post, but there are probably shorter versions by now.

They should let viewers who watch after-the-fact know when the actual speech begins.

(36,095 posts)7. Seriously? A whole 10 seconds makes that much difference to you, eh?
I usually write 'start' when a speaker walks in -- I've done it for years -- but this time I cut past the banter and went straight to the speech.
