Joe really took one for the team & must have a strong stomach.
Several decades in the Senate, eight years in the executive branch - so he's seen it all. I was thinking about that, too, did not envy him having to face Putin, but it sure looks like he took it in stride! 
I was thinking about how isolated the worm (no offense to night crawlers!) .ust have felt after Joe met for days with staunch allies from NATO, specifically formed because of his country's horrid abuses of neighbors!
Wtf, if worm wants to be legitimate on the world stage, 
grow up & behave!
Not difficilt, really. 
First, our president did a lot to mend fences with our allies, then he had the meeting with Putin. I heard it said somewhere today - Russia now stands alone (not that I think Putin minds particularly).
Under Gorbachev, things were opening up and there was such hope. Ex-KGB Putin wants to go back to the very worst days of the USSR and it's heartbreaking for the people. 
But I went because it was my grandmother, LOL. However, I couldn't have been more wrong. The people in her group were knowledgeable and experienced travelers and lovely people, they were all senior citizens, I was the youngest by a few decades except for one woman who was about 10 years older than me. And the Russian people we met were excited to meet Americans, not to mention it's a beautiful country with quite a history. It really was the trip of a lifetime and I hate to think what they're going through now.
