Sen. Chuck Schumer destroys Republicans on the floor for their upcoming NO on debating voting rights

Senator Chuck Schumer was not kind to Republicans as he excoriated them for their expected NO VOTE on debating the S1 Voting Rights bill. (I removed the long pauses.)

1. And what really gets me here, is that republicans know that their actions in legislating

'voting rights' etc. are in fact, restricting voting rights. By saying NO, they have confirmed to all of America that they don't want us voting, etc. Ironic too, considering that the provisions proposed by the Voting Rights bill will probably help them too.

2. Well, he scolded them anyway. They're FAR from being destroyed

or even wounded. rePukes have no shame; they can't be embarrassed or chagrined. Expose their nasty tricks and they'll go right back and do the same thing tomorrow while their supporters cheer from the sidelines.

3. Oppositionally defiant teens in grownups' bodies hate to be reminded that freedom must be

used responsibly; they will fight to say NO to the bitter end.

The Democrats had better step up and do what adults gotta do to save this house divided.
