7. It is scary to think how close they came.

All Mango Mussolini needed was the military to cave. After watching Milley with Gaetz, it is easy to see why the military did not cave. Imagine the next four years of taking your orders from Stephen Miller or Corey Lewandowski? On an amusing side note; Laura Ingraham now wants to defund the military.

13. It is very scary to think about.

If just one SOS in GA, AZ, PA would have said “Ok, I’ll go along” or just 1 Judge had agreed with the evidence. They came much much closer then they should have ever been able to because of the GOP. This was not just DT and a few well placed people it was an entire political party.

The other very scary thing about this entire episode of DT is realizing just how much of our government relies on the person who is President being a decent, law abiding person. There was so much DT was able to just say “fu@k that, not doing it” and since it was only a precedent he was able to get away with it.

Guaranteed there are people who have watched what DT was able to do and so far get away with, they see the lack of urgency or enthusiasm to hold people accountable and they are just waiting for their time to come and take their shot at being successful. People like Cruz, DeSantis, Hawley, Cotton… the GOP will never stop in it’s effort to be the permanent majority.

15. That "entire political party" is still very powerful.

And it's positioning itself to become more so. Their threat to democracy has not waned. It's still on the rise, because no one is stopping it. No one is stopping Trump from rising again and destroying what's left of the Constitutional order. Garland is playing whack a mole. He won't succeed unless Trump is stripped of his power. Completely.

I used to love watching him on MSNBC. The “Worst Person in the World” segment was always good. Really wish he was able to tamp down his personal opinions / emotions a bit in order to “go along to get along” and get a spot back on the air…but then he probably would not be the pundit I have come to appreciate and trust.

The farther removed from any crime makes it more difficult to obtain evidence. I'm sure the guilty have already destroyed evidence that would help in uncovering the truth.
