(16,945 posts)the one where I've seen him the most angry.
And rightfully so!
What a consistent slap-in-the-face to someone who spent so much time fighting for the law - to have politicians and administrations violating the law so flagrantly - of refusing to charge and prosecute those that do the same.
PLEASE - somebody listen to this guy - he's on to something!

(111,110 posts)We cannot "heal" by "moving forward", like we did with Nixon.
We cannot look the other way.
MyOwnPeace
(16,945 posts)through the Nixon era. I was born into a 'Republican' house and Ike was 'GOD' - and the Pope was going to run the USA if Kennedy won.
So, the very first time I got to vote for a President - I voted for Nixon.
After the Watergate scandal became such a thing, along with the 'betrayal' of the "Nixon peace plan/agreement" that never did exist, I campaigned for George McGovern (and wore an "I TOLD YOU SO!" pin when Nixon resigned!).
I wasn't 'upset' when Gerry Ford became president - after all, he named a 'moderate' Republican (sic - as if anybody can tell us what that could be today!) to be his VP - Nelson Rockefeller.
But when Ford pardoned Nixon - BOOM! - THAT was the end of my association with my parents' party. The government owed us more. We needed to believe in "justice." Like Glenn Kirshner says, "Justice Matters!"
Ford's 'pardon' of Nixon did NOT heal America. It gave Reagan, Bush I and Bush II, as well as TFG and the entire RepubliQan party a free pass to do their 'stuff' with no fear of consequences.
THIS MUST STOP!!!!
LOCK THEM UP!!!!!! (Gee, where have we heard THAT before?)

We are still paying for the pardon of Richard Nixon.
