The head of the CDC has said that over 99% of Covid-19 deaths have been among those who are not vaccinated, yet many states in the South and Midwest are still struggling to vaccinate more Americans due partly to disinformation. Dr. Ebony Jade Hilton, the co-founder & medical director of GOODSTOCK Consulting, LLC and an associate professor of anesthesiology and critical care medicine at the University of Virginia, joins American Voices with Alicia Menendez to share advice for anyone with a loved one who is still reluctant to get vaccinated. 1. My daughter had a mild case last year.

She is studying to be a mechanical engineer but now she has asthma, is experiencing brain fog and a slew of other health issues. She is extremely smart but the brain fog has her feeling anxiety since she needs a sharp mind to get her Masters in her field of study. My cousin's daughter also had Covid and she now has major food allergies diagnosed by a doctor as Covid-related.

8. Complete recovery, even after mild cases, is turning out to take longer

than they initially thought it did and the disease does more damage to body systems than they thought it did.
