(4,291 posts)Dr. Patel's guidance is most welcome!
After hearing from a friend -- who has some health issues (heart, skeletal, but not immune system) -- that she got a booster last week, I asked my physician: do my pre-existing conditions qualify me for the booster?
"Nope!"
Eight months after my second Moderna jab will be late October. Two more months of masking indoors, social distancing, hand-washing, and generally staying-the-hell-home (self-isolation). So,... instead of a Halloween mask, I'll be wearing another kind. Sigh!
Thanks!

(205,544 posts)It won't be 8 months for me until late November, but I'm willing to do whatever's recommended. And I got Moderna at CVS about 20 minutes south of me since that was the first appointment I could get in my area. And it's not like I'll be changing much, washing my hands after I go anywhere and wearing a mask anytime I go into any store, pharmacy or gas station. Getting a booster isn't going to change that.
