Public Health Physician, nor infectious disease modeler. He is misrepresenting totally/conflating totally what those with actual expertise have said. NO ONE is saying we are through this and COVID-19 is "burning out."

He should stick with his stomach reduction expertise. His snide attacks on those who actually HAVE expertise and experience is rich. NO ONE is saying COVID-19 itself is going to "burn out" (though that is his conflation). They *those with actual expertise) are saying the variant is spreading like wildfire and will likely continue to do so for quite some time across the world UNTIL another more vaccine-evading variant and equally or more infectious variant develops. Vaccination can slow down the process, but no one is saying now that COVID-19 will be eradicated, nor likely even eliminated in geographic areas--no matter the vaccination rate. Rather most believe it will remain endemic and flare from time to time with new variants arising.

Really unreliable information. Sorry, yoshidayui. No offense to you. But, I'm in a position to know BS (and recognize clickbait) when I hear it/see it on this.

This isn't going away for a long time. As more people get vaccinated, what it will do is fade into a nuisance rather than a killer.
