Stephen Miller seemed floored by the idea, raised during a fall Cabinet meeting in 2018, of keeping open the doors for Afghan allies and other Middle East refugees to enter the US.
"What do you guys want?" Miller, then a top adviser to President Donald Trump, asked incredulously, according to one person in the room. "A bunch of Iraqs and 'Stans across the country?"
His words stunned many in the meeting, but they were no accident. Under Miller's guidance, several sources told CNN, the Trump administration was purposefully slow-walking the entry of all refugees -- including allies who aided American soldiers in Afghanistan. Aired on 09/03/2021.

(2,686 posts)What the hell, man. 120,000+ people evacuated and a commitment to work with the Taliban to get out more. What is the failure? It looks to me like Bidens actions punched little Stevie Nazi in the mouth because of its success.
And it was successful, goddammit. Trump and Miller tried to make it impossible but Biden flew over their obstructions and got more than 120,000 people out. What more do these jackasses on MSM want from the President? What more could anybody have done in light of the Trump-Miller legal obstructions laid in the turf like land mines to prevent a smooth exit?

Good journalism requires the journalist to report on facts, to get those facts, and see what those facts mean and represent. Stupid, slipshod journalism determines the narrative than looks for facts to support it. If those facts arent clear, they resort to people in the administration say or sources report that . . . -- or they just out and out lie (as in the case of Fox).
