1. A local newspaper columnist trashed ivermectin and the comments online are ridiculous.

I'm in Idaho. Also, right next to Lewis county, one of the most heavily infected in the nation. Also a very low average tooth count. Seems to be some correlation.

The just cancelled Lumberjack Days at Orofino, ID and created a disgraceful shitstorm. Next weekend here is our big rodeo. Cancelled last year, but going on this year. I think they will be surprised by a low turnout. The COVIDiots are noisy, but there are more sensible people around.

2. Well, I'm in New York, a supposedly "blue state," and I've read similar comments here

Just yesterday I was reading an update on the Covid cases in my county and I couldn't read through all the comments, so many were that ignorant and vile. I have Mary Trump's new book and she made a comparison of how the entire world came together after 9/11, but thanks to TFG, when we should be coming together against this deadly virus which is affecting the entire world, we have never been more divided. And thousands are dying because of it.

Practicing medicine without a license. As ancillary medical staff, we have to be very guarded with everything we say should any of it be misconstrued as giving "medical advice".
These pundits know very well much of their audience will not use better discretion, as the poisoning spike demonstrates.
Surely some sort of legal remedy to halt these misinformation efforts by these fluckheads can happen?

5. How is this garbage (broadcast on our public airwaves) not the same as shouting "Fire"

...in a crowded theater?

I used to believe that there should be no limits on the 1st amendment. I now believe that we should be able to limit lying and propaganda as other civilized countries do. I don't believe that pumping poison into the public consciousness should be considered protected by the Constitution.

Fox should be removed from our airwaves. They are no longer a news operation. They are a right wing propaganda operation.

Tucker Carlson is killing people. Laura Ingraham is killing people. Sean Hannity is killing people.

How is this acceptable in the supposedly greatest country on earth? When the history is written it will detail how we were too stupid to protect ourselves.

It is time to have a societal and legal discussion on the boundaries we should establish about companies that have taken over our airwaves.

The Constitution is not a suicide pact. But that is how we are treating it.

But then TFG did the same thing - promoted drinking bleach and ingesting malaria medicine - and he's still walking (or trying to) free.
