When I was a kid, like 50+ years ago, I had a very sweet but eccentric aunt. She had a lot of quirks, like she thought motorized electrical appliances like washers, dryers and vacuum cleaners were somehow possessed and she would not use them. She had a common law husband who happened to be an electrician and sold such appliances out of a shop that was part of the front of the house and who managed to keep the household running around the things she would not touch. This same aunt was a faithful purchaser of the Enquirer once a week. She believed the crap in there, quoted it whenever the occasion allowed. I just thought that was just sweet but quirky Aunt Irene and was amused. Had I known what level of crazy she had would become so common I might have been less bemused and seriously considered drowning her in the vat of concord grape wine she had in the pantry, before she could spread the disease further.

(19,192 posts)but you'll never get Trumpanzees and anti-vaxxers to get the pandemic-ending vaccine until you force them to make the correct decision.
Even then they'll never stop crying about, "government over-reach". Then they'll have the utter gall to say, "keep government out of my healthcare". Unless you're talking about abortion, that is.
There is nothing President Biden could ever do that would please these assholes. Fuck 'em!
