I get stuck flipping between the big 3 but I do like those options.

I know in the days, weeks, and months after 9/11, there were all kinds of civil, structural, and mechanical engineers brought on various programs to describe how the original towers were constructed (with the "outer skin" design) and what some of the pros and cons were of the design.

It's obvious in this case however, that once upper floors started to go, the pancaking effect would be too much and would cause a catastrophic failure of the rest of the floors below. I suppose it was the marvel of the design of the "skin" that kept what was basically 125 stories of floors, "mostly contained" within that outer structure, as each building collapsed.

It wasn't a B-52 which crashed into the Empire State Building in 1945. B-52's weren't a thing then. It was a B-25.

Otherwise, very informative and interesting video. Thanks for posting.

…that flew into the Empire State Building. A much smaller and prop-driven aircraft, unlike the jet-propelled bomber.
