from getting disciplined for fighting, with your fists. We had no fear of shootings, because few families owned pistols or shotguns back then, let alone assault rifles with banana clips. At least in our neighborhood and we had two former military types. We never saw any guns. If there was a bump in the night that's what the police were for.
