1. I cannot think of a good way to do this, but...

...in a sport a team that cheats gets penalized by the umpires, and would forfeit the game. If the problem were local and the Republicans had any conscience they might have stopped it, but now the problem is a national party operating in bad faith. There is no higher institution with the credibility and power to do it... certainly not the UN and, alas, clearly not the supreme court. I hope our democracy remains strong enough to drive the R's into the dumpster of history, but, of course, that is far from given. They might seize control permanently. And in that case our democratic experiment will have fallen, and everything our soldiers died and sacrificed for will be gone.
