1. Drunk is a possibility, so is ill/failing health and/or effects of aging, and/or stress,

and/or a lack of preparation, and/or effects of prescription drugs ... any combination of which left him looking flailing and incompetent.

I don't think it's totally irrefutable he was loaded.

He MAY have been, for sure. But other explanations are possible.

He's had a disastrously bad 2 years. For lots of reasons, he is a ruined man.

6. Better to admit being drunk than imply senility...but if you are senile, you probably

don't get it. It amazes me how many of these folks can be dead wrong, embarrass themselves publicly and endlessly and can get up, shave, dress and go out and do it all again the next day. I cannot fathom being so shameless. If I did even 1% of the crazy stuff he has done lately I would either be hiding under a rock or kill myself. I'd love to know the psychological driver. Is it need for attention, money, relevance...what? I have to believe at one time he was worth $ millions and could have done the key note speaker thing, the guest lecturer thing, the talking head thing and had some respectable relevance and dignity but he chose this. Amazing.
