2. I have mixed feelings about this

Are the Puerto Ricans all played by Puerto Ricans? That’s about the only way I can imagine improving on the original, which was maybe the best film musical ever. It won ten Oscars.

If he wanted to remake a classic musical, how about Guys and Dolls? The best classic Broadway musical and the film version didn’t do it justice at all.

3. I agree about Guys and Dolls. Excellent on stage. Ok on movie.

My only problem with remakes is that Hollywood has ran out of ideas. I’d rather a remake was never done on any movie.

4. He's doing

it as a period piece and it looks quite good. I think its score is the best. Bernstein and Sondheim put together a score that has lived forever. The original cast in the broadway version had great singers. Much better than the movie.
