That's one thing about Stephen Colbert, he always stays current with the latest news. There was one time when there was breaking news (think it was when TFG was having his first meeting with Kim Jong-un) when he was taping his monologue, so he scrapped his prepared script and ad libbed the rest. And we know how he feels about TFG, decided to quit actually using his name (like we do here), so the names he calls him now are names that his viewers have sent in. You may have noticed they highlighted the particular name he was using last night on the screen.

The best, though, were the digs Stephen got with Cucker Tarlson. Spectacular!
And they're getting lots of coverage.
From HuffPost.com

Stephen Colbert devoted about half of his monologue to the bizarre saga of Nicki Minaj’s cousin’s friend, who supposedly suffered swollen testicles after getting the coronavirus vaccine.

But the “Late Show” host saved some of his harshest comments for Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who has spent three straight nights obsessing over the nutty story as he continues to push anti-vaxxer talking points.

Carlson even had to issue an on-air apology for getting a key detail wrong.

“I’m glad to see Fox News has finally come to terms with some of its dangerous misstatements,” Colbert said sarcastically. “This time, it’s not trivial stuff like ‘Was the election stolen?’ or ‘Should I huff horse medicine?’ No, Fox viewers, you gotta squirt that straight up your butt.”

Pence had to ASK Dan Quayle about his VP power? Such leadership, such a sense of purpose. Too uncertain to exercise the 25th Amendment to excise the delusion.

GOP didn't act to remove him from office in Feb 2020, or convict a year later out-of-office for that matter. Dereliction of duty. Period.

Gen. Milley had a sound sense of his duty, and how to use the gatekeeper aspect of power he had. History will judge him a national hero like no other.
