Right now, I too look on the anti-vaxers with a combination of scorn and rage. And IMHO, it is richly deserved.
Y'see, I lost my friendly (albeit staunchly-Republican) next-door neighbor a few weeks ago, when that 89-year-old Korea War veteran died from a broken hip. He was vaxed in January, first one on our block to get the jab! When the paramedics took him to the hospital in late July, there were no beds available. He died an agonizing ten-days later.
While I agree that anti-vaxers' families (needlessly) suffer when an willfully-unvaxed person dies, my compassion is being directed to my neighbor's family: his widow, children and grandchildren. I have none to spare for the kin-folk of anti-vaxers.
