and doesn’t represent most of us here in Montana. We welcome Afghan refugees. He doesn’t want them here because when they become citizens, they won’t vote for his racist ass. I’ll do everything I can to support these new Montanans.

For years we’ve had a family of Iraqi refugees living next to our little shop. Best neighbors I could ask for. They’ve been through hell and I marvel at how they’ve built a new life here in Montana from nothing. They gave up everything including a farm that had been in their family for generations. Their identities were compromised because one of their daughters was imbedded as an interpreter with the US Army and was unmasked. Former Senator Max Baucus got them all out. They’re the most wonderful people….and, Nabeeha makes the most incredible Samoon bread. When she’s got a batch going, she’ll yell for me to come take a few pieces over the fence. I always come running when she hollers.
