Why would someone with those assets give up that life to head the FBI and then DO NOTHING?

Why?

The only answer is to be an asset for those who would destroy the republic.
He helped Trump avoid prosecutions.
He COOPERATED in the muzzling of witnesses.
And now he assists in the avoiding of justice for insurrectionists.
He facilitated Kavanaugh's rise to SCOTUS.

He's a stooge. Maybe an enemy of the state in the same way Trump's stooges are enemies of the state.
