I find this hard to believe because of the number of unvaccinated in this country - and elsewhere - are giving this deadly virus the opportunity to mutate and spread.

Ned Lamont during the state's Covid crisis. He has been quite critical of the Covid policies of Trump, DeSantis and the CDC among others. His tenure at the FDA at least according to Wikipedia appears to have been rather progressive.
Plus he graduated from Wesleyan, so you know he's pretty bright.
