when a republican partisan radical right wing activist judge stopped the vote count moving in Gores direction, and appointed a clearly unqualified incompetent governor as the guy to fail in keeping the country safe, lose both his revenge wars, crush the nations economy, and left leave town with half my 401(k) nest egg.
It broke for good 20 years ago imho.

They've gotten into the habit of "winning" by cheating, they see that as their only winning strategy...

Republicans conspiring with Iran-Contra. And the damage to policy became pellucidly* clear from Reagan's inauguration and going forward.
