(53,776 posts)massacre...both before and after. Thousands killed and millions of dollars of generational wealth was wiped out without any recompense ever. There was never any thought of paying relatives or descendents back.

(205,282 posts)She wrote quite a bit about the horrors that transpired back then - and Tulsa was one of the worst. She also wrote about the unbelievable coverup, it's long past time this tragedy was addressed. And it's amazing that there are still witnesses, my grandmother was just a young girl at the time and my parents weren't even born until years later. I truly hope that there is some kind of justice and reparations even at this late date. And a big part of the tragedy is that it wasn't addressed until now.
