I don't think any of us can afford the paintings, I'm guessing that the draw is actually John Oliver Rhiannon12866 Sep 2021 #2

I went to bestduckingstamps.com and I saw that the bids add up to more than $50,000. The Duck Judges painting has the highest bid of $17,100 with Duck Hunting Hunter was closed behind with a high bid of $15,100.

It looks like I'll have to find some other wall art since I can't afford the auction.

I initially thought he was recommending buying postage stamps to support the Post Office like he did before. I bought stamps back then and I still have a lot of them since I don't send much mail. I got some pretty landscape stamps, the Moon landing and Earth Day. But these actual Duck Stamps support the environment even if they're not intended for letters. I don't know what I'd do with a duck painting even if I could afford one.

He would bid on the Duck Hunting Hunters and display it prominently above the TV.

I don't believe that I can recall my brother ever hunting ducks before since we lived in a drier part of South Texas. He used to hunt quail a lot, but he hasn't gone hunting in about ten years. I don't think that he will ever hunt animals like deer again since he wouldn't want to drag the carcass back to his vehicle because of his bad back.

And it's not necessarily something that most progressives would do, so I was surprised that John Oliver was advocating for it - except that it's also an effort to help the environment!

Her family hunts. She has a friend who entered this years ago.

I think I will buy duck stamps from now on.

But he is a promoter of these unusual pieces of art - and apparently these stamps have raised a great deal to save the wetlands.
