Both Katie Porter and Elizabeth Warren appeared on MSNBC tonight and I was impressed with both of them - and that makes sense because Elizabeth Warren was Katie Porter's law school professor and her mentor. Rep. Porter named her daughter after the senator...

with her. Katie opened with "You know, you were kind of rough on me today..." and Liz Started to apologize. But Katie said, "No, I came to ask you to keep doing that. I want to learn everything I can, and that's the best way to learn."
I learned that from an email from Warren just about the time Katie first announceed her run for Congress - possibly even before it was public outside California.
