(15,237 posts)Going to Lincoln University (iJefferson City) in the 1970s before he became famous there were stories about an Attorney (married man) who worked for the Mo Attorney General really liked young girls it was best to stay away from him. Years later he shows up at a Senate hearing a nominee for the Supreme Court. Then there is the insurrectionist Carpetbagger who became Missouri Attorney General whose official residence was his sisters basement in Southwest Missouri. John Danforth the paragon of old fashioned Republican values is responsible for both Clarence Thomas and Josh Hawley neither would have made it without Danforths sponsorship. So John Danforth apologized for Hawley to the best of my knowledge he has never apologized for Clarence Thomas.
