Amy’s piece today on what is still happening along our Southern border is shameful and heartbreaking. Thousands of people still dying in desert counties: The death toll keeps rising through bush, obama, agent orange, and now biden, Mexican children arriving alone immediately returned to Mexico without due process. And, the heroic efforts of groups working to find and save as many immigrants as possible. WOW. There’s a lot more “do nothin and bullshit” flowing towards the border then there is compassion and help.
In my eyes, Amy Goodman is the best and hardest working investigative journalist during the last
Two decades.
I suppose she receives a pretty cold shoulder here on DU because she points out injustice regardless of who is in charge.
I do believe Amy is a major credit to the profession of journalism, she tells it like it is and I also like Democracy Now's global perspective.
In some ways she reminds me of Walter Cronkite.
